Frequently people ask us what are they going to do with all of the contents of the house…IF we are conducting an Auction Sale of the Real Estate as well as the Personal Property we will remove everything from your home and leave the house broom clean. The items of value will be sold at our next Personal Property Auction and the trash will be sent to the land fill. We have all our own trailers and Dumpsters.

For all Real Estate Auctions we shall write and place all advertising, place signage on the property and conduct at least 2 open houses prior to the Auction.

Almost all Real Estate Sales are conducted with a Reserve or Minimum Bid. If your property does not bring the minimum bid, we will continue to market your property for 30 days. If your property is not sold within that period your only expense is the advertising and out of pocket expenses we incurred that were approved by you.

For many years we have sold local bank stock at Auction and Sealed Bids. All stock is sold with a minimum price. Our commissions are very low and because of the aggressive advertising campaigns we conduct our sales prices are very satisfactory to the sellers. We have direct mail First Class mailing list of over 800 stockholder and people who have expressed an interest in purchasing stock from us.

Our history in the Antique Auction World speaks for itself. For over 30 years we have conducted some of the highest quality antiques sales in this area. All Antiques are sorted according to value. We have set world records in the sales of a Wallace Nutting Highboy for $37, 500 and a Leonard Prior Decoy for $70,400. Capt John Smith Decoys for $1,500, Period Maryland drop leaf table for $19,800, Eastern Shore Corner Cupboard for $8,500, and many more items.  We also set world records a few years ago when we sold the Lewis Family Collection of Plastic toys which totaled over $100,000 the largest and highest price per item Plastic Toy Collection ever sold.

The Eastern Shore of Maryland is a great place to Sell Antiques. The people who live in this area know and appreciate all types of Antiques and Collectables. Antiques are part of the Eastern Shore Heritage; local residents of the Shore are willing to pay well for all types of Antique and Collectable items. The Somerset County Civic Center is a great facility to conduct Antique Auctions. Buyers from the metropolitan Areas of Baltimore, Washington, Virginia Beach, Richmond, Williamsburg and New York also enjoy coming to Auctions in Historic Somerset County. This is proven by the large number of buyers from out of the Area who attend our Antique Auctions.

Depending on the time of the year and location, quality and quantity of items we may also recommend an on site Auction.

Our Staff is very knowledge and respected in the Antique world. We also have available to us some of the most respected Antique Dealers in the country

Since 1973, when Pete Richardson began conducting Auctions his name has been associated with Farm Machinery and Construction Equipment Auctions. As a Farmer for over 20 years, Pete knows and understands Farm and Construction equipment and how the sale should be conducted to get the most money for the Seller.

We will write and place all advertisement which will be on our web site with photographs. The advertising program will be custom designed to suite each sale.

We know how to reach the buyers. In 2008 we conducted a Farm Machinery Auction near Willards, Maryland that was attended by buyers from as far South as Georgia and we sold a tractor to a farmer from the Finger Lakes of New York.

Our Farm & Construction Machinery Mailing List is very extensive. The Mail portion of our list consists of over 2,000 active Farmers who asked to be on the list. Our internet Ag email list is also very large.

In the last three years we have conducted Farm Machinery and Construction Equipment Auctions is Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

We provide a complete set up service for your Auction. This will include clean up, set up, inspections of Trucks and repairs when necessary. We have our own Fork Lifts to move and load your equipment after the sale.

We will also like to conduct a Buy and Drive Inspection Day.

We have had experience dealing with Creditors and Attorneys, IRS and other agency.

Having sold these items for many years we know what it takes to put on a great Auction.

Decoys: Your Decoys be evaluated by our staff and or one or more of the experts we have available to Pete Richardson Sales. The World Record Leonard Prior Decoy which we sold for over $60,000 was discovered in a home with no lights. The record setting Capt John Smith Decoys were discovered while we were cleaning out a shed for a personal property auction.

We have proven we know how to market you birds, we will photograph and advertise in the correct magazine and select a favorable sale date.

Collectables: Our Staff has many years experience evaluating, discovering, cleaning and preparing Collectable items. We also know what we don’t know and if we have a question about something we find at our expense the correct expert.

Firearms and Weapons: We have sold many weapons in the last 30 years from small pistols to class A Weapons.

We know quality firearms and how they should be marketed to obtain you the highest amount the possible. We have handled the sale of the extensive collections of Dan Hodgeman and Jimmy Snow, to name a few as well as the sale of a .410 Parker for $30,000.

All weapons are sold in according with all the necessary registration laws.

Machine Shops and Manufacturing Equipment

Over the last 30 years we have sold Several Saw Mills and several Machine Shops. They include the shop of Eurchell Wimbrow, Maryland Machine, FNC Machine, and the shop of the late Ronnie Phippin, and Saw Mills for Koppers, Spicer’s, and Several Machinery Dealers.

We have a general working knowledge of this type of equipment and our staff are experts as setting up this type of Auction. We also have available to us people who work in this business every day. We certainly respect and utilize their advise when necessary.
